The main focus this month has been working on on-page strategies. I haven’t created new articles; instead, I’ve concentrated my efforts on optimizing what was already published. This includes:
  • Reviewing and updating the best-performing articles, making small adjustments to enhance their relevance.
  • Recovering lost rankings for some key pieces of content, ensuring that the main keywords were properly integrated and the metadata optimized.

Although these changes may seem minor, their impact on rankings has been significant considering the effort involved. This strategy has helped me maximize the performance of existing content and lay the groundwork for future publications.

Thanks to the actions implemented, the most notable results have been:

  • Increase in daily traffic: From 60-80 daily visits to 100-120.
  • Improvement in ranked keywords: An 8% increase in SEMrush.
  • Ranking recovery: The best-optimized articles have started regaining lost positions, which is a positive sign for the future.
Despite these achievements, I know there is still much to be done to consolidate these advancements and take the website to the next level.

Next Steps: The Long-Tail Strategy

Looking ahead to next month, the focus will shift toward creating new content. My primary goal is to publish 50 articles targeting long-tail keywords, as these are typically less competitive and easier to rank for. This plan offers several advantages:

  • Increase organic traffic through specific and well-targeted keywords.
  • Build internal authority through a solid interlinking strategy, connecting the new articles with existing ones.

The idea is that this combination of new content and a strengthened internal structure will drive the site’s growth in terms of both visibility and traffic.

Goal Before the End of the Year

With December just around the corner, I’ve set ambitious yet achievable goals. These are my priorities for wrapping up the year:

  1. Publish the 50 planned articles and ensure they are properly optimized for SEO.
  2. Increase organic traffic by an additional 50% compared to current figures.
  3. Continue learning and adjusting strategies based on the results achieved.

These goals will help me enter 2024 with a solid foundation to continue scaling the website’s performance.

Lessons Learned and Final Reflection

Working on ChileMoteles this month has taught me several key lessons about SEO:

  • On-page optimization can make a significant difference even without creating new content.
  • Not all progress is immediately reflected across all tools; combining data from different sources is essential for a complete perspective.
  • Patience and consistency are essential to achieving results in long-term SEO projects.

The path to success in SEO is not linear, but every small step forward counts. I hope this analysis inspires you to keep improving your own projects and experimenting with new strategies.
